We are continually seeking talented singing members from all segments of our community, including our area high schools, to perform interesting and musically-challenging selections for the pleasure of our members and to both entertain and delight our audiences.
We invite you to join us! Call if you’d like to sing with an energetic, capable, and enthusiastic group of people, or know someone who might enjoy singing with us. We currently also are seeking friends of the Prince William Chorale who might be willing to serve on the Board of Directors or assist the Board in some supporting capacity. Please call Bob, 703-368-4997, for additional information.
The Chorale conducts rehearsals on Tuesday evenings, 7:30 - 9:15, at the Antioch Church of Christ on Plantation Lane in Manassas. We are delighted to have Ms. Saralee Fassett as our Director.
Ms. Fassett was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and began her vocal studies at the McGrail Opera Studio, then received a BA in Music with a major in voice from Gettysburg College.
After graduating, Ms. Fassett returned to Pittsburgh and continued her studies with the Pittsburgh Playhouse School of the Theater. She has performed in dinner theater, nightclubs, and at the Playhouse in her favorite role, Madame Dubonnet in “The Boyfriend”.
After moving to Virginia, Ms. Fassett sang with the Wareham Chorale performing “Carmina Burana” with the Fairfax Symphony, and performing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Arlington Symphony at Arlington Cemetery for the Bicentennial. She also performed with the Chorale at Wolf Trap for the American premier of Busoni’s opera “Doctor Faustus”, as well as performing at the Washington Cathedral and the Smithsonian Portrait Gallery.
After moving to Manassas, she joined the Manassas Choral Society as a performer, later becoming director, as well as founding director of the MCS select performing group “Allegro”. Ms. Fassett musically directed the MCS performances of “Oklahoma”, “Brigadoon” and “The Music Man”. She also has been Music Director for various theater groups in the area, such as Prince William Little Theater (“Working”, “Man of LaMancha”), Burke Players (“Godspell”), and the Manassas Pied Piper Children’s Theater (“Alice In Wonderland”, “Scrooge”, “Jack and the Giant”, “Charlotte’s Web”, “The Jungle Book”, “Sleepy Hollow”, and “Doctor Doolittle”).

She performed with the Prince William Chorale and continued directing “Allegro” until taking time off recently to get a Master’s Degree in Education from George Mason University.
Ms. Fassett has been an adult education teacher and a music teacher with Prince William County Schools for many years as well as a private voice teacher. She lives in Lake Ridge with her husband, Doug, and her black Lab, Chloe.
We are delighted to have a Director of Ms. Fassett’s caliber leading the Prince William Chorale!
